My journey

I am a thirty something woman with a taste for travel and adventure. My will, confidence, trust, and well-being, however, have been tested a lot over the past five years. What I have found over that time has been a heightened sense of empathy and understanding towards others. I have also found that I love whole-heartedly which can be a gift or a detriment. Nothing that anyone could say or do would have prepared me for divorce or what I have gone through and continue to deal with, good and bad. Days have turned into months, and months into years. So as to not fall into the descent of time and allow the spark for fun and adventure to die out, I decided to take my life into my hands and try something new. With a renewed sense of determination along with encouragement of others and reminder of a book that once moved me, I decided to go on a solo journey. This is not just a vacation, it is a journey to find myself again.
After weighing all options, I decided to travel to Australia and New Zealand. These are places I have wanted to see since I was little so what better way to try to understand what is really important to me than to go to a place that reminds me of a simpler time.
